About Boomer

MMJ Reporter Professor Professor Christina Boomer Vazquez

I am a general assignment reporter at ABC15/KNXV in Phoenix.

In March of 2009 I transitioned from the role of Reporter to Multimedia Journalist (MMJ).  During this time I have expanded my skill set to include shooting video on a JVC 700, editing and creating graphics using Final Cut Pro and engaging viewers/users through social media.

I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to teach what I have learned to students at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.

The students need to prepare a multimedia project by semester’s end.

I thought it would be fun to work alongside them and create one of my own.

This blog will document my experiences as an adjunct professor for a course titled “Online Media”. I will also be blogging about my students and their projects.
